America’s Rain Gauge!

Service Options:

Daily Report:

Following each rain event, MyRainReport.com delivers a site-specific rain report to your e-mail address and up to two additional addresses. The daily report is an account of all rainfall detected on a property during the 24-hour window of your choice (for example, 5AM the previous day until 5AM on the current day). It is delivered via e-mail at the time of your choosing. You will only receive a report if it rains on your property.

Monthly Report:

At the beginning of each month, MyRainReport.com delivers a summary of all rainfall on your property during the previous month. The data is broken down by date and is also presented as a total amount. The report can be sent to up to three e-mail addresses.

Daily + Monthly Report:

This option allows you to receive a rain report following each rain event as well as a summary report—broken down by date—of the previous month’s rainfall. This service is the most cost-effective option, saving you $5 for combining two services.

Rainfall Alert:

MyRainReport.com sends you an alert when a predetermined amount of rain has been detected on your site during a 24-hour period. For example, you can set your alert amount to .10″ or .75″—or any amount that you prefer—and once that amount of rain hits your property during a rolling 24-hour period, you will receive an alert.

*Due to the quality control process the alert is is sent two hours and twenty minutes after the predetermined amount of rain has been detected.

How do we do it?

MyRainReport.com uses radar technology, combined with proprietary algorithms, a precise quality control system, and your property’s coordinates to generate an accurate measurement of precipitation and deliver it to an e-mail address following each rain event. The report includes all rainfall during a 24-hour period of your choosing (for example 7:00 a.m. one day to 7:00 a.m. the following day, or any hour on the hour—no increments).

In order to measure your site’s rainfall, at the time of purchase, you will use the Google Maps application within our website to zoom in on your property from an aerial photo. Our system will lock in your property’s GPS coordinates, and the rain report you receive will reflect rainfall on that exact point.

If you intend to monitor a large area, keep in mind that rainfall varies from one location to another, so we recommend that you setup multiple monitoring points. As a point of reference, growers have suggested placing at least two gauges per thousand acres.

Once your GPS coordinates are in our system, we receive data for that site every five minutes every single day of the year—that’s 288 files a day and 105,120 files each year! Our quality control system verifies the numbers to ensure that you receive the best available data—meaning that our data is as good as it gets!
